ECE 543 - Introduction to Digital Systems

Module Description: Computer Aided Design

This module introduces the student to the use of computeraided engineering (CAE) and computer aided design (CAD) methods in thedevelopment of digital systems. Basic design methodologies arediscussed. Design methods, from schematic capture to circuit simulationand verification, are illustrated by hands-on laboratory exercisesusing modern CAD tools. Students will demonstrate proficiency throughindividual demonstrations with the course instructor.
