Schedule:
The conference will have two keynote addresses,
one each day. The speakers will represent national energy
organizations including the National Science Foundation. There
will be 16 sessions total, 90 minutes long, eight each day, in
parallel in the two large lecture halls in Kingsbury Hall. The
sessions will be at different levels, some very introductory,
some on the most recent technologies.
The audience will be open to everyone. High
school math and science teachers, local and state energy
leaders, research scientists and engineers, and industrial
leaders will be invited. There will be demonstrations of
various energy technologies including a bio-diesel demonstration
and photovoltaic cell and wind turbine student projects outside
Kingsbury in the interior courtyard. Lunch will be provided at
Kingsbury Hall and a banquet/social is planned at the New
England Center on campus. At the end of the conference there
will be a closing panel discussion.
There is still much fluidity in the conference
plan. There is no conference registration fee, and dinner on
Friday is free for active conference speakers. Any additional
funding above conference expenses will be converted to
scholarships for students working on projects related to energy.
Link to the schedule will appear here. If you would like to participate
in the conference or contribute towards the conference or energy
scholarships, please contact Professor Kraft.
