UNH Budapest Exchange Students Visit the University of Novi Sad
On October 21 and 22, 2006, thirteen UNH students from the Budapest exchange program visited the Faculty of Technical Sciences (FTN-College of Engineering), at the University of Novi Sad (UNS), Serbia, Europe. This is the third year in a row that a visit of the UNH exchange students took place. Each year the UNH students meet and spend some time with their fellow students from the UNS.
ECE Students Participate in Research Program at Lincoln Laboratory
Three Electrical and Computer Engineering students participated in an exciting new relationship with MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory this summer. For the first time, UNH students were involved in the Laboratory’s summer research programs, getting hands-on experience in fields ranging from sensor analysis to microelectronics and embedded computing.
A great time was had by all ECE alumni, faculty, and students who attended the 2006 Homecoming. See the photos taken at the ECE/CEPS Tent.
Business, Engineering and Technology Career & Internship Fair
CEPS/WSBE will hold the annual Engineering Career and Internship Fair at the
MUB's Granite State and Strafford Rooms on Wednesday October 18, 2006 from
11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to gather information

ECE Computer Engineering Students Honored For Research At UNH Symposium
Computer engineering majors Scott Crawford (Brentwood, N.H.) and Jonathan Oppelaar (River Vale, N.J.) were honored for their design of an integrated chip that runs calculations inside a biometric fingerprint authenticator being developed at UNH. The students were selected from a field of over 100 undergraduates who presented their research in poster presentations at EOS during the afternoon. The ISE event was part of a weeklong conference showcasing the extensive research efforts undertaken by UNH undergraduates.

January 2006 - We are excited to announce that the ECE Department's educational laboratories, administrative office, and faculty offices have moved into the new engineering wing of Kingsbury Hall. Please contact the ECE Department if you would like a tour of the new facilities.
- Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) Funds ECE Student Research
The following ECE students applied and received UROP funding for research: James Brandt "Design and Development of a Low Power Throughput-Intensive System on a Chip-Analog to Digital Converter," Jason Dahlstrom and Christopher Glynn "Computational Modeling and Brain-Computer Interfaces," Katelyn Palmer "Speech Recognition - A Study in Emergency Response Communication." Congratulations, the ECE Department is proud of your accomplishments.
- ECE Students Receive UNH Awards
Congratulations to ECE Ph.D. student, Jason Chan, for receiving the UNH Graduate School “Graduate Student Research/Scholarship” award. This award is designed to recognize graduate student research/scholarship and other creative works that represent the best overall contribution to the discipline.
un-Tethered Officer Project
The Mitretek Center for Criminal Justice Technology (CCJT)is conducting a study in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UNH and state and local law enforcement agencies to assess how wireless portable communications between various agencies and their personnel can be implemented to support inter agency cooperative efforts when emergency situations exist.
ECE Professor Kent Chamberlin Named to State Education Technology Council
