variety of awards and honors. Congratulations to all of them!
Jennifer Bernhard Receives CEPS Teaching Award
Dr. Bernhard received the 1997-98 CEPS Teaching Award. This is
not a surprise since Dr. Bernhard also received the Tau Beta Pi Outstanding
Teacher of the Year Award in April 1997 and again in 1998. Obviously, Professor
Bernhard is a dedicated teacher with sensitivity for student needs.
Ron Clark Selected UNH Distinguished Professor
Professor Ronald R. Clark was awarded status as a University
of New Hampshire Distinguished Professor. Dr. Clark has served on the UNH
faculty for over forty years (fall 1957 to present). In addition he is an UNH
alumnus, having received the Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical
Engineering from UNH in 1956, and is a New Hampshire native, having been born in
Percy, NH in 1935. Without question Dr. Clark met the criteria of the award as a
"longstanding member of the faculty" with an overall record of "excellent
teaching, caring about students, devotion to the university community, and
substantial record of scholarly achievement." This is the University's most
prestigious faculty award.

less than three hours. This was a new personal Boston Marathon record for
Professor Miller.
