Hitchcock Award

The Leon W. Hitchcock Award is presented to an outstanding junior in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as selected by the faculty of that Department. This year Mark J. Sinclair from Manchester, New Hampshire received the award. Mark currently has one of the top GPAs in the class of 2000. Mark is currently the president of the UNH student chapter of the IEEE. During the past year he has been a participant in the ECE Department's Robotics Laboratory. His research, under the direction of Professor Kraft, has focused on vibration control.

The funds for the award have been provided by alumni, faculty and friends of the Department in memory of Leon W. Hitchcock, a longtime Professor and Chairman of the Department. The amount of the award is determined by the interest generated by the fund over the past year. If you would like to contribute so that the award will continue to grow, please send your check to:
