IAP members and a number of ECE faculty, ECE alumni, and friends of the Department attended this year’s IAP business meeting.

Annual IAP Business Meeting

by John R. LaCourse

Our annual business meeting of the Industrial Associates Program of the ECE Department was held on May 5, 2000 at UNH. The meeting date, which was traditionally scheduled on the first reading day before final exams, was changed to this date to allow IAP members the opportunity to participate in the Undergraduate Research Conference 2000 sponsored by the UNH Office of the Vice President of Research and Public Service. URC 2000 was a forum for undergraduate students involved in research to present the results of their efforts.

The IAP 2000 meeting agenda was as follows. Chairman of the ECE Department, John LaCourse, presented the financial state of the IAP, Professor Rucinski presented the topic titled, "Test and Design in Microelectronic Systems: UNH Perspective," and Professor Andy Kun presented the topic titled, "The Consolidated Advanced Technology Program." Members then participated in a private viewing session of senior projects.

During lunch, discussions centered on management programs for graduate students and seniors as well as on the recruitment needs of the ECE Department and the IAP members’ industrial needs. In all, the program was a success.
