Mark Sinclair Awarded Erskine Mason Award

Mark Sinclair is a student successfully striving for academic excellence. He exemplifies the best of our student body in relation to his academic ability, character, politeness, leadership, service to UNH and other students, and willingness to work hard. In addition to his outstanding academic record, Mark has been very active in a wide variety of extracurricular activities. (See the "Our Own Micromouse" and "Health Pilot" articles in this issue of Signals and Noise.) Mark has been active as a member and an officer, president for the 1999/2000 academic year, in the UNH student chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).

Mark has led two different teams of students in international design competitions with considerable success. Mark, the ECE Department’s representative to the Dean’s Student Advisory Committee, participated as the undergraduate representative on the search committee for the new College of Engineering and Physical Sciences Dean. As a member of Tau Beta Pi, engineering honor society, Mark has done community service as well as free undergraduate tutoring. He has been a campus tour guide, and also served as a Commencement Marshall for the 1999 graduation.
