Professor John Pokoski received the Tau Beta Pi Outstanding Departmental
Teacher Award for the 1999-2000 academic year.
Outstanding Service Award
At a recent joint conference and Workshop held by the ILA and the Royal
Institute of Navigation (RIN) in London, England, Professor Emeritus Albert
Frost was awarded an ILA Outstanding Service Award. Conference attendance
included representatives from 15 countries, USA, Europe, Russia and the Far
East (Japan, Korea and China) all of which have an active interest in
terrestrial (ground based) and satellite radio navigation systems
Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Computational Electromagnetics
Professor Kent Chamberlin will be spending a semester abroad at the
University of Aveiro, Portugal as a Fulbright Distinguished Chair in
Computational Electromagnetics.
Best Paper in Session Award
Jermy Pallotta presented a paper at the American Control Conference
(ACC'2000) titled "Real-time Vibration Control Using CMAC Neural Networks
with Weight Smoothing" and won the Best Paper in the Session Award. This
paper was authored with ECE Professor Gordon Kraft.
